SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Foundation for TJO Animals held its 14th annual Ride Like an Animal Motorcycle Run on September 14, raising $14,000 to benefit animals at the TJO Animal Control & Adoption Center.
With perfect weather for the day, more than 180 motorcycle enthusiasts participated in the signature event for the Foundation, enjoying a scenic ride through western Mass culminating with an after-party celebration at the Ludlow Elks. With record attendance this year, the Foundation raised over $14,000 in support of their mission. Riders and party goers enjoyed live music, a BBQ lunch, raffles, games, and vendors.
With record attendance and the generous support of the community the Foundation raised more than $14,000 in support of its mission, far exceeding its $10,000 goal. Sponsors for this year’s event included Fontaine Community Foundation, Florence Bank, Keller Williams, and the Good Dog Spot. Media sponsors include Rock 102 and Lazer 99.3.
The Foundation for TJO Animals, a nonprofit organization founded in 2007, provides fundraising and granting assistance to help animals at the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control & Adoption Center with needed veterinary care and treatment. Proceeds from this event support the Foundation’s mission, helping to save lives and provide second chances for animals in need.
Founded in 2007, the Foundation for TJO Animals is dedicated to raising much needed funds to help local, homeless animals at the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, serving the cities of Springfield, Holyoke, and Chicopee, Massachusetts. With a focus on providing financial assistance and grants for veterinary care, the Foundation has had a direct impact on saving lives of animals in the shelter.
