Ophelia and Lily are two of the over 125 live and nearly 300 deceased animals pulled from squalid living conditions in a Springfield residence in August. The cats were bone thin due to starvation, and had a heavy parasite load internally and externally. On a veterinary body condition scoring system, these cats were a 2/9! That is skin and bones.
After lots of great medical care from the veterinary staff at TJO, and lots of TLC from the amazing volunteers and staff Ophelia, Lily, and many of their feline friends were adopted. Opehlia and Lily were adopted together and now live a happy, safe life in a loving home.
